House of Volunteers Foundation is for the 1st time organising Stockholm Junior Water Prize Competition in Bangladesh. With the aim of promoting water issues and related challenges and the need for leadership in water, this competition will allow students of Class IX to XII to showcase their creativity and innovation. May 10, 2015 is the last date for call for papers.
About Stockholm Junior Water Prize
The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) is the most prestigious youth prize for a water-related science project at the high school and college level. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today’s youth as they seek to address water challenges. Since 1997 the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) facilitates the international competition. This international student science prize enjoys the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
More than 30 countries participate in this international competition which brings together some of the world’s brightest young scientists. National winners travel to Stockholm, Sweden during World Water Week in August to participate in a week long cultural exchange program and compete for the international prize.
